Smokey bronzed rose look using my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette!
First off- MERRY CHRISTMAS! It’s just past midnight here, and I’ll be toddling off to bed soon, and crossing my fingers that Santa pays a visit!
Secondly- if you’ve been lucky enough to snag a Naked 3 for Christmas, then here’s a cheeky little idea for your first look!
Step 1: Urban Decay Primer Potion (in anti-aging for me) across whole lid and below the bottom lashline.
Step 2: I swept a mix of ‘Strange’ and ‘Limit’ across the lid using my e.l.f. angled contour brush, followed by applying a layer of ‘Nooner’ in the crease and outer V using my Urban Decay Good Karma crease brush.
Step 3: Using a Body Shop shader brush, I patted ‘Mugshot’ onto the entire lid, keeping within the shape made with ‘Nooner’.
Step 4: ‘Darkside’ was used to deepen the crease colour (using my e.l.f. eyeshadow ‘C’ brush) and blended softly out, so as to eliminate any harsh lines, then darkened up yet again with a tiny (and I really do mean tiny) dab of ‘Blackheart’ using the shader brush that came with the palette. Worth noting- ‘Blackheart’ was a shade I really didn’t think I’d like- but GOOD GRIEF, I was wrong.
Step 5: I used a mix of ‘Nooner’ and ‘Limit’ to further soften the edges of ‘Darkside’ (using the provided brush) THEN a mix of ‘Limit’ and ‘Strange’ to soften the edges of THAT.
Step 6: Lined the lower lashline with UD’s 24/7 eyeliner pencil in ‘Smog’ (pretty perfect match for this palette!) and set that with ‘Trick’ (inner two-thirds) and ‘Blackheart’ (outer third) using my EcoTools smudge eyeliner brush.
Step 7: Swept upper lashline with ‘Blackheart’ and patted a teeny dab of ‘Trick’ on the centre of the eyelid, then lined upper and lower waterlines with UD’s 24/7 pencil liner in ‘Zero’.
Step 8: A little swish of Maybelline’s The Rocket Volum’ Express mascara, and the eye look’s done! A peachy blush and a nude lip would definitely be my choice to finish the look, but you could certainly go for a wine/berry colour on the lip for a vampy evening look.
